The honor

          For those people who have been the cadres in this year in YunTech, it was the most important Thursday night. Because it was the time which declaimed which club was the winner of this appraisal. We all had spent many nights and burned the midnight oil in order to present best things. The appraisal included all things we have done in this year, for us, to be the winner of the appraisal was our great honor and achievement.

        I am in anti-drug club, which belongs to service clubs, and there are more than ten clubs belonging to this category in school. We all knew that it was difficult for us to win because all competitors are excellent. Being a cadre in a club, we spent a lot of time preparing our activities, camps, and performances, and every time we had to do as hard as we could. All partners were the same, and all the members in other clubs were the same, too. We were competitors, as well as partners, because the faith that we all held in mind was to service. 

       My club was selected as great and the best award, but it did get none of both. The mood at that moment was just beyond description, or I could say that I just too sad to say anything about that. Although I knew what we have learned in this year was the most important thing, I just couldn't hold back the sadness. At that sleepless night, I started to recall those memory and arrange the pictures we took in the activities we held together before. Then I found there was a special pattern.

          In every picture, we all had fun. Although in this period of time, we had quarrels, tears, and sweat, the most valuable for us was those funny time we had. Thank you, partners, you are my honor. I'm proud that I have time being together with you.

 

After watching the movie -High School Musical1

High School Musical 1 – Do You Really Want to Do

        If you have spent three years doing what you wanted to do, then what would you do right now? High School Musical is a very famous movie and I heard of it when I was a junior high school student, but I didn’t watch it until I am in college. High School Musical is not just one movie, and it has sequels, from here we can know it was a popular movie.

As its name, it’s a movie about high school life, but it’s not so simple. For me, high school is an intersection; because I should choose what I would be like, despite the fact that it just may be, it is still important for the future. In the movie, the main actor was seen as a basketball guy, and nobody knew he loved singing until he decided to take part in a singing competition with the main actress. In the beginning, his basketball teammates and her club members were worried about the singing competition would make their not to concentrate on other things. But finally, they proved that they could do both they wanted to do. I think it’s the reason why it enjoyed great popularity - it inspires us. After watching this movie, I learn three important things.

        First, don’t give up something you really love, if you love it, you should treat it seriously. Everyone has their own dream, and everyone wants to fulfill them sincerely, don’t they? Second, don’t be someone they think we “should” be reluctantly. It’s a bothering and tired thing to do someone we are not. If we always live a life controlled by others, the life is not “my life”. Finally, do bravely! Give me impulsive ten seconds, and I need courage for ten seconds. I think we usually think too much without doing, and we usually have a lot of “not to do “excuses.

        Just do it! Maybe something will be different. Not limit ourselves, and nobody can limit us. It’s really a worth-watching movie, and maybe you would have different feelings after you watch.   

In prison?!

It was an unforgettable experience that I went into the prison. Not because I was sent in, not because I wanted to see someone there -I went there for visiting. In order to let us know more about the serious consequence of taking drugs, Chuen Huei club offered an activity to the prison.

 This time, we went to Yunlin Second Prison, agency of corrections, ministry of justice. It includes detention center and juvenile detention house. Prisoners were sent it for varieties of reasons, and one of these reasons was that they used to be drug addicts or sold drugs to others. As a result, our main goal was to emphasize the importance of anti-drug campaigns.

 The inner prison was not allowed to take pictures, so I could only described what I saw. The jail was heavily-guarded, and you might think it was in a mess, as dirty floor and disordered stuffs. But as soon as I walked in, I knew I were wrong. Everything was neat and tidy, and you couldn't see any trash on the road. It was just like another world, which was taken apart from the outside world. They also had a series of classes called "rainbow plan", including class of traditional cuisines, class of gardening, and etc, to let prisoners to learn skills, which strengthened their abilities in order to cultivate their professionalism. Hence, after they went out, they could find jobs much easier and it also reduce the percentage of committing again. I think it is a good policy and this also meaningful for them because everyone have rights to survive.

Everything there looked like usual and fine until now. However, the greatest difference between they and we is that we have freedom. They have to buy freedom from punishment and pay for what they had done. But I think the most important of all is that they have courage to admit what they did, are willing to correct mistakes and promise never repeat them again. Joyce Meyer once said, "one mistake does not have to rule a person's entire life," therefore, we shouldn't have bias on those who have repented sincerely. 

For us, I have some words to say- when you feel you miss directions and are going to go to the wrong way, just stop and stand, and call for help, because there is always someone to help you.

Hairstyles and Me

      Recently, I had a haircut, and it reminded me of my hairstyles. I had twin ponytails, short hair, and long hair. Why do I have different styles in different stages in my life? Because of growing up.

      Twin ponytails existed in my life when I was an elementary student, and they lasted for six years. However, as I grew up, I thought it was too childish and strange. Sometimes I miss cute ponytails, because it represented my childhood and a little willfulness. However, maybe memories can only just be memories.
      Next, I had a short hair. It was a clean and neat cut. I recalled that when I told the hairstylist to cut hair, she asked me if I broke up with somebody. Maybe I just wanted to be a handsome girl then, and I couldn't remember the reason. I loved it very much, yet soon I had a problem with it because I missed my long hair. It cost me a long period of time to have long hair again. Girls are really changeable, do you agree with me? How funny.

     Now I have long hair and I don't want to change it. Perhaps someday I will dye or curl my hair, but no matter how I change, I hope I can be myself and be confident with myself. Finally, I want to make wish, my hope is: I will have my hair on my head forever!

     

The sense of memory

       Memory is not just the view that stored in our brain. Sometimes I miss the favor, the fragrance, the touch, and the feeling.

       This winter vacation, I stay home to practice cooking, and I told my mother that I miss the dish called stewed meat which my grandmother was very good at very much. My grandmother passed away several years ago, as a result, I haven't eaten the cooking for many years. The favor of the dish was beyond description because its unique favor only lived in my taste buds. My mom said she couldn't do the dish as well as grandma, although she learned cooking from my grandma. Because there was no exact amount of seasoning, I think the experiences make the delicacy. I remember there was an advertisement before. It was a little girl went to a beach, and she took a small bottle to store the fresh sea wind and took it home in order to smell the lovely smell. Will there a way to store those fascinating sense? I am expecting.
      What is the favor of memory? And what we use to memorize? Maybe science reports say that memories exist somewhere in our brains, but I know, I use my body to recognize it, to memories all my life experience.

Clean

      Recently, almost every Chinese family is busy cleaning house. There is an idiom that” to get rid of the old to bring in the new,” as a result, when a new year comes, every family should clean house. I think it’s a very wise tradition, because we can not only throw something we don’t need anymore, but also find a reason for everyone to keep sanitary. My home is not the exception. Because we don’t have males in our home, I should take the responsibility to clean those hard-to-reach corners. I just like a Spider-man and solve all difficult missions. No matter climb the iron window or clean high places are acceptable for me. Although spring clean is a tired thing, there is no denying that I have a sense of achievement after all cleaned. There is something interesting too. I opened one of my diaries and read words in it. The diary was written several years ago, and I forgot it totally. I found that something I was very care about before, it doesn't seem to be important anymore now. It was maybe just something not worth mentioning, but I was so childish and was angry about it for a long time. I know that there are many stages in our lives, and every stage we should think further and more, so I remind myself, when I am angry at something next time, think whether it is worth. To sum up, clean old things, at the same time, throw out those bad memories!
